Before photography, people cherished painted portraits of their loved ones. These rare keepsakes were a way to keep important people close. Today a mini portrait is a unique way to to encapsulate a treasured photo. Whether it’s a sweet nod to family heritage, a gift to celebrate a milestone, or simply a playful reminder of someone special, a mini portrait becomes both art and memory.
 
Important note: I started painting these mini-portraits as a way to practice my drawing skills, and explore different color palettes. I have heavily discounted the price of these portraits to make them more accessible for people, and to give me a larger opportunity to practice my skills. This is not a typical commission process, and you will not be consulted about artistic choices. THERE WILL NOT BE A REVISION PROCESS. I will try my best to match likeness of the photo you choose, but I will not make changes once I determine the painting is finished. Once again the trade-off is you get an affordable painting, but no input on the process. It's kind of like a little mystery box for you.
 
All paintings will be with acrylic or oil paint on a canvas panel. Depending on the photo sent, I will decide the size, either 5" x 5", 6" x 6", or 5" x 7". Paintings will typically be finished in 3-5 weeks.
 
After placing the order, please send me an email with the photo you want to use. These tiny portraits are for humans only, and I will only be painting portraits not fully body paintings. If you send me a full body picture, I will crop just the face.
